What is the main difference between midwife (Mejiro Birth House) and hospital or clinic?
At hospitals or clinics, they take care of c-section or delivery support with medical equipment in case there is some trouble. Since midwives are not allowed to use or dispense any medication, your birth should be normal condition.
Can my husband join the processing? Can I expect to make my desire come true for my birth processing?
We will try our best to make sure your desire come true such as birth with all family members, water birth, home birth etc. Since you have plenty of time to talk on each check-up day, we can communicate and discuss about your birth plan carefully.
Will you make gynecological examination?
Yes. After 37th week
How many days will I stay at the Birth House?
Average 3-5 days, depend on your and your baby’s health condition.
Some mothers leave the next day because of their personal reasons. But it is very stressful if you go back to a normal life right after your birth with new born baby. Also, we need to visit you for 3-5 days for your baby’s health check. We recommend you to take your time here after the Birth for a couple of days with our support.
In case an emergency happens, what shall I do?
At home, call us and tell us about your situation. We will give you instructions.
If the case is very serious, we suggest you to go to your hospital or clinic for a medical check-up. Worst case, you will be transferred to the hospital to receive proper medical treatment for you and your baby’s safety. You must go to our contracted hospital to take exams periodically and file a health record in the case of an emergency.
